there were several scenes and each was pretty intense. however, just like what happened with my previous dreams these past few months, i can’t remember them clearly. i can only say that i was in a kitchen – familiar to me in the dream but not in real life – looking at different utensils on the countertop. i then found a stainless bread canister, in it a medium-sized french bread sliced into two. one slice was generously sprinkled with chocolate and the other was coated with cheese spread.

in another scene, i saw my niece. she was a few years older than she really is now. dressed in black and wearing a black feathered head piece, she walked into the living room. she was a blooming teenager and carried an air of indifference. much like how i had been, i guess.

i was out with a bunch of my chums. nobody’s faces resemble any of mine in waking life. we were in some sort of a vehicle, going round a vast complex, like a campus. everyone was talking, involved in a warm conversation. about random topics. we laughed quite a lot. and then i heard his voice. a band was on and he was the singer. it sounded like a music festival.

dalam mimpi aku bermimpi tentang masa depan. aku melihat jakarta diserang hujan lebat dan badai yang luar biasa. langitnya membiru, begitu legam. awannya tak lagi tembus pandang, menjelma raksasa penyebar takut. dan mereka membayangi sepasang pencakar langit berdinding kaca yang pada posisinya yang terancam justru memantulkan semesta biru di atas mereka. tak berdaya ikut menyiarkan kabar kelam kepada sekumpulan manusia, termasuk aku, yang gemetar di bawah mereka.

rambutku masai dikacau angin dan aku hampir kehilangan kuasa atas keseimbangan tubuhku. namun aku tetap pada tempatku berdiri. menatap langit dan awan yang segera menerkam gedung kembar yang rupanya sudah terlalu mirip opresor mereka. di tengah-tengah segala yang biru itu aku merasa seperti berada di dasar laut. mati tenggelam tetapi tetap mampu merasa pengapnya.

lalu dalam mimpiku aku bermimpi bahwa aku melesat ke dalam mobil keluargaku. ada ayahku, kakakku perempuan beserta suami dan anaknya laki-laki. kami sedang melaju menghindari angin.
